ETL Technical Lead first for Wachovia Securities and then Wells Fargo Advisors. Environment is Oracle Data Store and DB2 Warehouse using Informatica,

ETL Development using DataStage Server Edition (7.5.2) in an Oracle/Data Store, Teradata/Warehouse configuration. As migration to the Wachovia system apprroached, I began migrating to use Informatica in a Oracle/Data Store, DB2/Warehouse configuration. This position overlapped with my previous postion for 10 months.

Unix development in a Sun environment using PERL/Informix. This job consisted of using a vendor product that is a calculation and posting engine for performance measurement, (CheckFree's CALiPER), with an extensive application built around the core functionality. This system contained thousands of tables and over 7TB of combined storage.

Participated as a member of the core team that architected the new batch framework and participated in the Application Reengineering project which was the first project to make use of the new batch framework. My role was to act as an Analyst and Developer participating in all phases of development. We utilized Rational ReqPro for requirements, Test Manager for logging of test scenarios and test execution, ClearQuest for defects, and ClearCase for source management. Development was in COBOL in an HP/UX environment utilizing the Micro Focus Net Express development product. Minor experience performing maintenance and enhancements on a JAVA program that ran in batch. After implementation, became the primary support for these applications.

Lead a team involved with the OMS project to integrate the proposed Himalaya order management system into the Bull mainframe backend, (BMI). Supervised the efforts of 5-7 people, holding regular status meetings, prioritization of tasks and issues, defect tracking with ClearQuest, implementation planning. When the overall program was cancelled, we actually had to remove implemented code, as we had already begun the implementation phase for our project.

Lead a team of developers through all phases of application development, implementation, and support in a Tandem environment. Documented and analyzed requirements, generated specifications, and supervised all aspects of code development. Programmed in COBOL, TACL, and occasionally in TAL using D30-D47 operating systems. Coordinated production primary and backup support, as well as participating in the rotation. Applications included Order Routing System, Execution Routing System, After Hours Orders, Mutual Fund Interactive, Institutional Delivery System, and various other clearing and pricing applications. In addition to the previous, during the last 6 months in this position I was concurrently supervising a Quality Assurance team made up of an additional 3-4 developers and testers. This team was working in a Tandem OSS environment running the G06 operating system on S-series Tandem servers. This team was testing various infrastructure pieces that supported a new application, Order Management System. This is a new effort for the company, and our QA efforts were focused on repeatable testing and defect tracking. Experience with ClearQuest defect tracking tool. This effort was not begun until development was partially completed, yet we managed to put together sets of functional, repeatable tests that uncovered 60 defects among 4 infrastructure components prior to my leaving this area.

Analyzed, designed, coded, tested and implemented programs in a Tandem environment with the D30 operating system. Programs coded in COBOL with extensive use of NON-STOP SQL. Tandem skills include FUP, Peruse, Inspect, Control, Bint, SQLCI, Netbatch, and TMF. Additional IBM mainframe experience adding CA-7, Expediter, and DYL-280 to existing knowledge. Some exposure to Microsoft PC-COBOL, Extra, Infomaker, and AS/400.Responsible for primary development and production support for Tandem applications. Duties included maintenance of 50 SQL tables, and the design and creation of new SQL tables as necessary. This position requires sharing expertise with management and other programmers on a daily basis.

Analyzed, designed, coded, tested and implemented both batch and on-line systems on a IBM 3080 series Mainframe. Programs were written in COBOL, CA-EARL, and UFO using structured programming techniques. JCL was written in OS/MVS-XA environment. Development tools and utilities included TSO/ISPF, ROSCOE, CA-LIBRARIAN, CA-TLMS, CA-DISPATCH and PL-SORT.Responsible for the ongoing support and enhancement of the McCormack & Dodge General Ledger and Accounts Payable package, along with the support for the rest of our financial systems. These additional systems include Sales History, Merchandise Receipt, Customer Billing, Financial and Physical Inventory, Personnel and Payroll systems. This position involved heavy user contact and primary production support for the General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems.

Designed, coded, tested and implemented a system to group securities together for settlement with a clearing house. This replaced a manual system and enabled the company to reduce costs significantly. On-line and batch programs were coded in COBOL using structured programming techniques. Heavy database, CASE, and documentation experience in a large structured environment. Bull (Honeywell) mainframe environment.
