I am currently a project manager with Highbury Concrete Inc based in New York City. Highbury Concrete Inc specializes in high rise superstructure concrete construction. I have been with the company since June 1st 2016 and have grown into the role of Project Manager. I am responsible for the administrative, logistical, and financial setup of projects, and then for overseeing the project in its entirety through to its completion.My current role was shaped by my background in engineering, process and project management. This has allowed me to be involved in building projects ranging from 7 to 28 stories with varying site areas. My role within Highbury allows me to interact and form relationships not only within Highbury, but throughout the NYC construction industry. These relationships and friendships have made adjusting to life away from home much easier, and they have given me a wide range of diverse and creative opportunities.Keeping to my roots, I play Irish sports within the Irish expat/Irish American community, and I enjoy hiking and outdoor activities. I feel it’s vital to make time for yourself and the ones around you amidst the hustle and bustle of professional life. This helps to maintain motivation, productivity, and purpose.
