25 years of operating a one-man service center as a Field Service Technician II, I Performed multiple functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of Hill-Rom rental movable medical equipment and customer owned products, working hands-on with patients to provide comfort and pain relief and providing ongoing training and support to nursing staff. Additionally, provided 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. Required direct customer contact and included frequent patient transfer. Performance of repairs and routine parts exchange was expected.⦁ Based in Urbandale IA, I was responsible for the 24/7 Delivery/Removal/Troubleshooting/Repair of Durable Medical Equipment to Hospitals, Long Term Care Facilities and Home Care environments in the State of Iowa, with strict adherence to infection control policies.⦁ Maintained service operations in a clean, safe, efficient and organized manner according to SOP's and the continuous improvement philosophy of Kaizen/5S, with utilization of the Kan Ban system for the management of parts inventory to achieve lean results.⦁ Communicated effectively with customers, co-workers and other departments to achieve total customer satisfaction resulting in meeting monthly performance metrics which in turn resulted in six Regional Awards.⦁ Assembled/modified/repaired many pieces of equipment using schematics and assembly manuals.My time at Hill-Rom included a 3 year stint as Service Center Manager, and a 1 year stint as Regional Service Manager.(Reason for leaving: Life change for family after 25 years of 24/7 on-call. Also to service southern territory for CSI)
