Main focus : Japan and Asia ex Japan (extended to US and Europe during the last 18 months)Main sectors covered : Consumers, Industrials.Main responsabilities :- Portfolio Manager of Perennial Japanese Fund from 2008 to 2010,- Provide recommendations to to the fund managers (for other portfolios), based on construction of detailed models,- Support the marketing of Perennial expertise and Funds to asset consultants.Main results :- Perennial Asia Fund ranked n.1 out of 19 Asian funds (1 year performance, ending in June 2012). The fund was also n.4 on 2 years and n.3 on 3 years,- Average performance of my recommendations for both Europe and US portfolios during FY 6/12 was 9 % absolute,- Perennial Japanese fund ranked n.3 out of 108 funds by Mercer (1 year performance) as the fund had a positive return (in AUD) of + 3 % in difficult 2008 investment conditions.

Main sectors covered : retail, food, cosmetics, transportation, construction, housing, real estate, non banks.Main results :- led detailed financial modeling on 40 stocks in these sectors in close collaboration with Pioneer Fund Managers and Analysts,- Active contribution to a model Japanese portfolio,- Main fund (PJE) ranked 15 out of 114 in one year performance and 19 out of 99 funds in two years performance (source : Micropal, Oct 2005),- Recommended stocks which outperformed between 100 bp and 200 bp for the last 2 years,- conducted frequent research visits to Japan, Europe and North America.

Paris

Main sectors covered : retail, airlines, hotels and leisure industries in Europe.Main results :- developed detailed analysis including yearly trends, detailed forecasts, ratios, valuation by sum of the parts and/or DCF,- wrote studies and presented conclusions to fund managers,- recommended the acquisition of 2 % of Monoprix stocks (French retail) at 90 Euros. A year later, stocks sold during a TOB by Casino at 219 Euros.

Responsible for the non food retail industry in Europe.Main results :- covered all the main stocks in the sector in Europe (ex.Pinault, Rexel, Castorama, Galeries Lafayette), as well as medium/small caps (ex.Guilbert, Manutan)- performed a review of the DIY sector in Europe,- organized meetings with clients and executive managers from Pinault, Rexel, Hornbach- ranking of BT Alex Brown retail team n.10 by Extel in 1998

Responsible for non food retail, small household appliances and property in France.Main results :- responsible for the coverage of 20 stocks and provided successful recommendations on recovery stocks such as Galeries Lafayette,- performed 50 presentations to clients in 1996,- performed a sector study covering the French property sector, followed by extensive presentations to clients both in Paris and London,- our research team was ranked among the top 3 among French brokers (source : L'Agefi).
