I managed a small team and was responsible for designing and implementing the communications strategy for York CVS, who deliver numerous projects and services across York.My role involved: • Line management of the Communications Assistant • Redesigning York CVS's website • Working with developers to build a new customer relationship management (CRM) tool • Building and managing strategic partnerships with organisations such as City of York Council, the NHS, the CCG, York University and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation • Managing all media relationships and external messaging for the organisation • Producing, and signing off, external content • Planning and implementing communication campaignsI was also responsible for designing and implementing systems and processes, such as: • Style guidelines • Branding guidelines • Action plans including risk analyses and managing a budget • Designing and implementing a social media strategy.

I was responsible for creating content and for managing Uniting for Combat NTDs' social media campaign during the launch of the fourth progress report on neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). This project is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and represents the biggest consortium of health and pharmaceutical partners in the world. The digital campaign was the most successful Uniting for Combat NTDs have had during this ten year project, and was seen by a record-number of stakeholders, policymakers and members of the public.

As senior editor at Times Publications it was my job to source editorial content for various publications. This involved liaising with journalists, private sector companies and various government departments and ministers. Due to the nature of Times Publications and its numerous publications and conferences, including the G20 conference, this often involved international work. I was also responsible for liaising with designers, copyediting, and proofreading duties at the company.
