I was responsible for maintaining the charge master for St. Elizabeth's and St. Joseph's Hospitals. The responsibilities included researching CPT/HCPCS codes. Selecting the correct codes for the procedure or supply. Researching the Epic System to identify if a current charge master number would work or if a new one had to be created. I reviewed the work queues in the Epic System for accuracy and discrepancies. I worked directly with the departments to resolve all discrepancies. I reviewed the charge master annually to identify items that would need price increases with the direction of the hospital accounting departments. I provided updated fee schedules to the various departments.

I oversaw operation for purchasing, contract compliance, receiving, storeroom, mail room and shuttle services for the hospital. I maintained policies and procedures for the departments that reported to me. I was responsible for the colleagues in the departments. I performed the colleague appraisals and was responsible for disciplinary actions if needed. I was responsible for the inventory for the entire hospital.

I was responsible for all Purchasing operations for the facility. This included buying, contract compliance, receiving, storeroom and the whole hospital inventory. This included maintaining the re-order points for the system. I was also responsible for operation of the Central Service Department. This included supply distribution and par levels. It also included sterilization for the hospital. I maintained the sterilizer logs for reporting and compliance.I was also responsible for the Mail Room. This included mail metering, mail sorting and providing a house wide copier/printing service.
