I am currently a third year student at Western Sydney University. I initially wanted to become a music performer at the conservatorium because I took great interest in music ever since I was a young child and started having piano lessons with various teachers. For some reason, I developed perfect pitch in which I can tell the key a randomly sounded note is in. During that time, my parents took me to the City Recital Hall and Sydney Opera House in the city to watch and listen to pianists and other musicians on stage. In primary and high school, I did activities involving music such as singing in assesmblies for a national anthem and doing some practical music work in high school. I also watched a famous musical movie named Phantom of the Opera when I was in year 10 in High School. After I graduated from High school I had worked in a factory at Achieve Australia in Marrickville with several friends to whom I have made, Chantelle, Elvira and Irene. I love these friends and like talking to them about my personal life and listen to their personal lives as well. At the factory, I do some packaging, sorting and labelling of certain items such as glass bottles, cutlery and biscuits for the airline industries. In 2018, because there were more employees and people wanted bigger working space, we moved to Newington in Sydney Olympic Park to work and I still work there now. But my interest in music did not die off. I went to Tafe and University to further study music as a course. In that time, I still did not have much idea of what music position I wanted to be as a student besides performing live in a conservatorium. But after knowing more and more friends and people with autism, I decided to become a music therapist to help people with autism to achieve their potentials using music. In this case, music can also be a therapeutic and educational tool for disabled students. Also as a music therapist, I wanted to start a fundraising page to help raise money for the awareness of the prevalence of autism and the research associated with the mental problem. I also hope that I can raise enough money to eliminate autism one day.
