I created Island Clean-Up inspired by a documentary on Netflix called 'A Plastic Ocean'. This programme contains a piece about the Pacific island nation of Tuvalu, its plastic waste challenge, the detrimental effects of plastic waste on the local population and the environment, and a potential solution in the shape of a mobile processing unit. Island Clean-Up sets out to implement this work and thereby restore the pristine beauty of remote places like this of which there are far too many around our oceans.Below are a couple of screenshots from 'A Plastic Ocean'.This initiative was finally aborted in the wake of the Covid pandemic.
