To lead the delivery of the £22.6m Bedford Town Deal programme of schemes comprising; transport and highway improvements, upgrading the public realm, development of the new Bedford railway station and enhancements to the education sector.The roles responsibilities adhere to the systems and processes mandated by central government, including Business Case preparation to HM Treasury “green book” standards, a specifically defined Monitoring and Evaluation framework, and the forecasting, reporting and reclaiming of costs inaccordance with detailed financial regulations.This specialist role aligns with the government’s growth agenda for the Oxford – Cambridge Arc, and Bedford Borough Council’s key position within that. The role is pivotal to ensure that Bedford maximises its capacity for growth by ensuring that existing residents are catered for to such an extent that the level of development in the Borough is accepted and welcomed.

To contribute to the delivery and management of infrastructure plans and projects that generate income and enable economic development and business growth.
