Assistant S3 in a Brigade responsible for training/assisting National Guard units in the southeast US. Planned major training events for Annual Training of Brigade-sized elements.

M1A1 Tank Company Commander in an armored brigade in Germany. Led the company through preparation for the invasion of Kosovo, and subsequently deployed to Macedonia in support of the Kosovo Campaign after the armed invasion was cancelled.

Tank Company Commander in armored brigade in Germany. Deactivated the company as Army changed the battalion organization. Supervised the movement of all equipment and personnel to other formations across Germany.

S4 or Supply Officer for an M1A1 Tank Battalion stationed in Germany. Led the effort for the conversion from a four tank company battalion to a three tank company battalion under the revised force structure in 1998.

Served as the Gunnery Officer managing ranges for 1st Infantry Division. Deployed to Bosnia as the Division Battle Major. Deployed to Hungary to train tank and infantry platoons rotating out from Bosnia. Served as the Chief of Training prior to moving to 2-63 Armor.
