About Patrick Malak

My health insurance career began in 1989 working for my father’s small agency in Wausau, Wisconsin. Over the next 3 decades I developed a passion for wanting to help and serve others. During that time, I’ve acquired a skill set that allows me the ability to confidently take on any size challenge that requires the technical expertise and creativity only a well-seasoned insurance veteran can offer. I’ve excelled in a variety of operational and sales positions over the years with each title providing me the experience necessary to address the diverse needs the agent distribution channel, individual and employer groups has to offer. In an ever changing and politically charged industry, people are looking for timely answers, direction and service from an experienced professional now more than ever. With personal knowledge along with highly regarded contacts and resources on a local, regional and national level, I feel I can be the professional they’re looking for. Having the ability to develop, communicate and effectively execute plans of action to agents and colleagues has led to quantitative year over year positive results in the markets I oversaw. Some of the operational skills I have include: Medical/Dental claims adjudication, auditing, training, billing, recruiting, contracting, sales and marketing. Additionally, I have a working understanding of all health insurance products, funding options (including group level/self-funding) and integrated selling concepts. I’ve built, managed and been accountable for teams of salespeople that required them to hit certain performance goals. My management style is one that focuses on encouraging them to push themselves to be the best they can be on both a personal and professional level.
