I have significant experience in evaluating European Projects on Sustainable Energy and Energy Conservation and behavioral change activities.Environmental education connects us to the world around us, teaching us about both natural and built environments. Effective Environmental Education raises ours and others awareness of issues impacting the environment upon which we all depend, as well as actions we need to take to improve and sustain it.Whether we bring nature into the classroom, take students outside to learn, or find impromptu teachable moments Environmental Education provides a huge tapestry of benefits for young people, educators, schools, colleges, universities and communities.I have a keen interest in Sustainable Energy Planning for communities and the links between Public health and the development and thriving of Sustainable Communities.I am firmly of the view that our young people need to be allowed develop the appropriate knowledge, skills and attributes to be able to address the increasingly complex “wicked” environmental and social problems which they will face. Development of these is however not being adequately addressed by current systems. New forms of education need to be urgently developed and rolled out to maximise individual talents and skills to ensue that they are not wasted.
