Involved in production of the Toyota Corolla, Matrix, Solara, and Lexus RX series vehicles. Press operator and forklift driver as well as Quality inspection on stamped parts and blanked sheet metal. Ran overhead crane for die setup and Coil loading onto blanking lines. Involved in Pilot program for new model launch for 2003 which involved travelling to Toyota Vehicle production plants in Japan to inspect dies and confirm fitment into Canadian presses as well as observe parts processes. At a young age I was am very privelaged to have been heavily involved in a Family owned business which studied the Provincial rural courier mail delivery service, and the needs of the drivers for right hand drive optioned vehicles for rural mail delivery. We marketed through the post offices to the couriers needing such vehicles and had good success. We then sourced and bought used RHD postal keeps being sold off by the US postal service facilities as far south as Arizona and imported them to… Show more At a young age I was am very privelaged to have been heavily involved in a Family owned business which studied the Provincial rural courier mail delivery service, and the needs of the drivers for right hand drive optioned vehicles for rural mail delivery. We marketed through the post offices to the couriers needing such vehicles and had good success. We then sourced and bought used RHD postal keeps being sold off by the US postal service facilities as far south as Arizona and imported them to Canada. The vehicles were then repainted, mechanically reconditioned, Sold and delivered across Canada. As the market for good used Jeeps dwindled we approached Subaru Canada and proceeded with another marketing endeavour now with a RHD Subaru Legacy wagon. These seemed ideal as an all wheel drive and built in Japan as an alternative new car option for the rural couriers. After many years and many vehicles sold, a lack of good quality affordable vehicles for the market of our customers became the only reason we moved on. What a lot of fun we had! Show less
