In this role I was tasked with organising and creating event plans, then executing the events. During the events, I would work alongside other event officers to oversee the activities making sure everything was going to plan and all my fellow committee members were carrying out their roles as needed.In the case of unforeseen circumstances, my team and I would make the decisions on how to proceed and resolve the matter in order to make the event succeed as seamlessly as possible.

As a peer mentor for a group of first-year students at UCD, I developed a range of skills that have been invaluable to my personal and professional growth. In this role, I was responsible for providing academic and personal support to my mentees, helping them navigate the challenges of university life and achieve their goals.Through this experience, I honed my communication and leadership skills, learning how to effectively mentor and guide others towards success. I also developed a strong sense of empathy and compassion, as I worked to understand the unique needs and challenges of each of my mentees.In addition, this role helped me to cultivate my organizational and time management skills, as I balanced my mentoring responsibilities with my own academic and personal commitments. I also gained valuable experience in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and teamwork, as I worked with my mentees to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
