I am an experienced Security Manager with a proven track record of success, spanning thirty-one(31) years internationally and locally within the South African National Defence Force, South African Police Service and South African Special Task Force, of which fifteen(15) years working in the private sector and several years as an accomplish Team Lead and Security Manager. Experienced in internal Security Management and providing high-level risk management skills to implement a practical solution to reduce risks. During that time, my duties included the following: As Site Security Manager (SSM), I was responsible for the overall coordination, leadership, management, supervision, and operational readiness of the MST/PSD Team(s) and Guard Force, the Operational Coordinators and Conducting operational Quality Assurance (QA) of all MST/PSD/Guard Force Operations, to include internal self-audits. Oversight of all security training for clients and subcontractors. Responsible for all security functions under the direction of the Project Manager, providing services consistent with the over-arching security plan tailored to resources and the immediate operating environment. Managing the operation in it’s entirely, drawing on the support of the main office team for financial, logistics and administrative support. In addition, served as an MST/PSD/RRF/QRF Team Lead for several years for various Private Security Companies (PSC’s). Establishes appropriate relations with the team by delegating responsibility as required, uses discretion in assignments (consider grade, experience, attitude, knowledge, and demeanour), accept responsibility for the conduct of the team and displays no favouritisms.Development and implementation of plans, standard operating procedures, and emergency response procedures for all Operations and Operational Coordinators, to include Host Nation security elements IAW current training plans and participate in unilateral and combined security operations IAW current TTP’s.
