I am responsible for the reception and distribution of off-air, satellite, microwave, and digital transport programming to the outside plant utilizing coaxial cable, microwave, and fiber optic transmission technologies. This includes the installation, construction, operation and repair of all equipment associated with the Headend (HE), Hubs and Optical Transport Network (OTN). Monitoring video, audio and RF quality of services delivered on the forward and reverse. Perform daily check of RF levels and HE alignment. Verify video and audio levels for processing equipment. Configure and support advanced video equipment (e.g. VOD, controllers, multiplexing, digital transport, edge QAM).Monitor Commercial Insertion equipment for performance as needed. Periodically test equipment and quality of signal throughout the network. Maintain required logs, records, and other documentation in compliance with company and FCC (Federal Communications Commission) technical requirements. Perform HE and facility Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) inspections. Assist with FCC Proof of Performance testing. I oversee Contractors when needed. I am available to be on call nights and weekends.
