I'm passionate about the role of psychology in every day life and have a keen interest in business, sport, reading and writing. My doctoral research focuses on developing mental skills for business and sport performance. Specifically, I’m interested in how chartered accountants measure, develop and use resilience, confidence and stress management to optimise performance. Previously, I qualified as a chartered accountant from KPMG Dublin and afterwards returned to University to follow my passion for performance by completing a masters in sports, exercise and performance psychology. In sport, I work as a performance consultant with the U20 Limerick hurling team and Na Piarsaigh Senior Hurlers. In these roles I support the players on an individual and group level, while working directly with the management team to optimise performance.Annually, I present a "mental skills for exam performance" workshop to KPMG students and I work with a small number of people in a 1-1 capacity.
