I am a molecular imaging scientist with two decades of experience in academia and industry. My expertise covers many areas of biomedical sciences, including bioconjugate chemistry, pharmacology, neuro- and behavioural science, positron emission tomography (PET), confocal microscopy and super-resolution microscopy.Following my core training in biochemistry (University of Winnipeg), I conducted graduate and postdoctoral research at the University of Toronto, focusing on brain PET imaging, radioligand development and pharmacological mechanisms of CNS-active drugs.Further postdoctoral research (University College London) applied PET imaging methods to antioxidant biochemistry in cancer. For this work I was named Young Investigator of the Year at the 2017 World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS) meeting.At the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Disease (DZNE) in Germany, I investigated antioxidant mechanisms in Alzheimer’s disease, making extensive use of advanced confocal microscopy techniquesThis experience led to my current role at Miltenyi Biotec, in which I lead a bioconjugate chemistry team developing antibody-based reagents for confocal, light-sheet and super-resolution microscopy.
