Originally from Youngstown, OH, I completed my Bachelors Degree in Psychology at Ohio University in Athens, OH in 1998. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2010. While at Duquesne, I immersed myself in Existential Phenomenology and Analytical Psychology, and I have received significant training and supervision in both approaches. In 2007-08, I completed an internship for the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services where I conducted psychotherapy and assessment in a community outpatient clinic and in a state forensic institution for individuals ruled Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity. I am licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania (License Number : PS017088).My experience expands 15 years, and I have worked with individuals from ages 4-90 in outpatient, inpatient, residential, and forensic settings. I am comfortable working with children and adults and with most any types of presenting concerns.I am also passionate about psychological assessment, particularly Fischer’s Collaborative Assessment and Finn’s Therapeutic Assessment approaches to working with clients. I have presented extensively and have published articles on Collaborative Assessment and have extensive assessment training and experience. I am particularly skilled with the Rorschach inkblot method and have extensive training in its use.
