As the program grows and we implement our strategic growth plan, we split recruitment and training teams to best support developing quality Advising Fellowship communities. My mandate is to lead a growing team to meet rapid program expansion and sustain our impact at scale.- Manage and design team of four staff with $200k budget to recruit 1300 student volunteers and 100+ paid leaders across 19 college Fellowships, growing annually- Lead department in multi-year strategic plan and restructuring,centering impacted communities while positioning the organization for sustained growth - Successfully scale program building partnerships, expanding alumni programs, and improving KPIs, delivering a tenfold increase of advising capacity in five years - Launch 13 new college/university partnerships and reimagine criteria to expand program reach and accessibility through DEI centric growth strategy- Institute data-driven and holistic approach to project management and evaluation to be responsive and create space for feedback to improve outcomes- Set the vision and values of the department, shaping the structures and culture of the advising team to improve collaboration, efficiency and equity

RECRUITMENT- Develop and implement community oriented recruitment strategies for national advising fellowships.- Design and test application intake and review flows with the operations team, troubleshooting issues.- Develop and coordinate all recruitment content and materials including application and interview rubrics and review forms, position descriptions and all outreach.- Recruit, manage and coach 16 leadership teams to implement recruitment at their Fellowships and develop strong communities.TRAINING- Direct logistics and content for national leadership training summit.- Manage and coach staff and student leadership to effectively review applications, conduct interviews, facilitate training and administer skill-based evaluations.- Design all certification content curriculum for new student leaders and volunteer advisors, covering topics such as bias and identity, advising skills, team management, and community engagement.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS SINCE STARTING- Developed an online training course to supplement in-person training for scale- Created virtual fellowship to expand college partners and engage high school alumni at low cost- Increase college advising capacity from serving 400 to 3400 high school participants over 5 years- Launched 16 new college Fellowships and trained over 5000 college student volunteers

In my role at the center, I pack, distribute and teach about the health and wellness materials and services for harm reduction and counseling. I am trained provide a judgement-free and open environment for community members to attain the supplies and space they deserve to stay safe. We administer and distribute narcan to continue to save lives and provide more opportunities to teach community members about the services we provide here at the center.

Middlebury, Vt

-Collaborated with a coalition of students to plan and organize direct action around issues of migrant students' rights and safety from racial violence on campus.-Organized Middlebury College’s nationally reported Sanctuary Campus movement and garnered support through a manifesto on migrant student issues which included a list of demands for the college to implement. -We worked together with local and alumni networks to issue a petition through our manifesto enabled us to work with the school administration who openly supported and made a series of protective actions for vulnerable students. \-Consulted with Vermont State Senators to enforce Fair and Impartial Policing Policy which helped pass Bill H.492 for the creation of Racial Justice Oversight Board by conducting qualitative research on local police departments via interviews.

-Fostered intellectual and character development of First-Year Students by holding open discussions about individual, campus and local issues while providing personal stories to promote more empathetic listening. -Designed community expectations with the Commons Dean and Residential Adviser which ensured that all students took responsibility and care for each other and outlets in the res. life staff to air grievances. -Provided mentorship and policing assistance through on-duty hours spent patrolling hallways, while acting as a personal counselor, advocate and student/administration liaison for issues ranging from homework to assault.

As a line cook I worked appetizers, desserts, salads and prep. I occasionally ran the wheel after happy hour. This was my first experience in a larger kitchen with more than three other cooks in a fine dining context. I learned how to move more efficiently in the back of the house and developed a more effective mode of communication with the help of an established kitchen.

I learned the basic functions of the trade working as a laborer on a small crew of four remodeling luxury condos and second homes. As a junior laborer I dug ditches, cleaned job sites, conducted demolition and prepared materials. As I grew more experienced I was taught to set stairs and raise walls while still remaining available and the first volunteer for some of the less attractive work such as laying and clearing concrete and insulation.

My job consisted of taking the children to their practices and camps while also cooking, cleaning and playing as well as maintaining their school lessons . I engaged the youngest with an outside literacy curriculum as a tutor.
