As a developer and development team leader, I supported field engineers, pre-sales and consulting, with reusable development tools for integrating data and displaying it all with compelling UIs. To this end, I led a successful effort to build the Grove UI toolkit: https://marklogic-community.github.io/grove/This involved educating others regarding the power of documents and graphs, since most IT professionals have deeply internalized software design patterns that assume the presence of an underlying relational database. In addition to such education in meetings and written materials, I design and build data models, demo applications - mainly single-page Web applications - and reusable libraries to help my team build such applications in the future.

Designed in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. Created an automated casualty widget in C#. Organized the creation and promotion of YouTube videos. Provided foreign policy analysis. Spoke and wrote to inspire the masses to take joint action online.

Lobbied Congress on migration and refugee issues; drafted legislation; published a substantial weekly update on refugee- and immigration-related developments in Congress and the administration, including online updates for advocates.
