Our Senior Design team was tasked with designing and manufacturing an autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) capable of Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) for the annual Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) Student Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) competition. The SUAS competition promotes interest and innovation within the autonomous UAV industry.As Project Lead, I provided various inputs essential to the success of our project. In an administrative capacity, I supervised and coordinated team of six students. This included organizing meetings, delegating/advising tasks, obtaining/providing resources, and allocating funds. In addition to working with my team, I coordinated with outside sources. Some of these include various vendors, senior design instructor/teaching assistants, project adviser, and our sponsor. In a technical capacity, I oversaw every step of the design, manufacturing, and implementation/testing phase. I led the conversations through the brainstorming of our concept, and provided my expertise. Designed and manufactured a rapid prototype, for testing of the concept. Worked very closely with the programming lead on the development of the firmware for our flight controller. Worked with the aerodynamic lead on obtained a fuselage capable of meeting our design constraints. Integrated the Tri-Copter frame and Fuselage with the help of my structural and mechatronics leads. Conducted hours of testing and adjusting of control parameters and mechanical designs. Supervised preliminary flights, vertical and horizontal flight separate of each other. This was done to properly ensure flight capabilities. Our project won both FSU DIGITECH's award for Best In Show - Innovation and FAMU-FSU College of Engineering's award for Best Overall Senior Design Project.

I was provided the opportunity to work in one of UPS's largest package distribution hubs. The Jacksonville Hub sits on almost a million square feet of land, has roughly 100 miles of conveyor belts running throughout, and puts out 60,000 packages an hour. At first this facility was very intimidating, but this feeling faded quickly due to the amazing team of engineers and technicians I had the pleasure of working with. During my time here I was tasked with updating all of the Florida region's blueprint/cad archives. This included updating/revising of facility cad files, digitizing 1000's of blueprints, overseeing other regional facility blueprint consolidations. These tasks required working with vendors and coordinating with other regional interns. In addition to this huge task, on a daily basis I would work with technicians and vendors to help increase the efficiency of their essential tasks. This included conducting equipment audits, creating facility diagrams, and developing/updating/organizing building and conveyor standards manuals.

Ensured the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the facility and surrounding grounds. Performed work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule. Replenished Building essential supplies. Ensured building security and safety.
