I am an experienced process development chemical engineer, focusing on specialty chemical synthesis and associated unit operations. I have significant experience in lab scale synthesis and process development, scale-up to pilot plant scale, and technical support of processes at production scale. The bulk of my industrial experience is laboratory and plant based with minimal simulation/computational work, but my graduate degrees primarily involved computational fluid mechanics, so I feel comfortable in both computational and experimental space. I am very detail oriented and enjoy solving difficult, practical problems. My favorite, and strongest focus areas in process development include: filtration, crystallization, and mixing. My most recent role was primarily in support of solid/liquid separations as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for my company. I supported various solid/liquid separations processes, including cake filtration, clarification filtration, sedimentation, and others. In this role, I performed laboratory investigations, specified technology for scale-up, and provided optimization and trouble-shooting support for manufacturing.
