Duties and responsibilities include the following:Maintenance of mechanical systems Ships main engines and generators, Compressed air systems Fresh water distillation plants Air conditioning and refrigeration Fuel Transfer Systems. Cooling systems Sewage Treatment Plants Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems Emergency breakdown and repair.

Duties and responsibilities include the following: Assisted in the delivery of DCFF courses to Naval Service and private shippingcompanies’ personnel. Instruction in the theory of fire and basic first aid firefighting. Ran real life scenarios using the simulator located in the National Maritime Collegeof Ireland for both fire and flood scenarios on board ships. Instruction in Search and Rescue procedures on board ships Use of firefighting equipment and lifesaving equipment.

Duties and responsibilities include the following: Monitored and logged readings of machinery whilst underway at sea Ran certain systems such as fuel and lube oil purifiers and fuel transfer systems Ensured Fuel oil service tanks are being monitored. Transferred ballast to ensure correct trim and stability of the vessel. Kept an Inventory of all firefighting and damage control equipment on board. Responsible for taking on fresh water in port. Carried out and logged weekly testing of jacket water cooling systems and all lubeoil systems on board. Assisted in maintenance and overhauling of systems and equipment with EngineRoom Articifiers. Involved in fuel bunkering operations.

Worked in the industrial, retail and event sectors throughout my time with Synergy. Such premises where I was responsible for included Musgraves, Laya Healthcare, Bons Secours Hospital and Paul Street Shopping Center.My roles and responsibilities included; monitoring activity outside and inside a premises through observation and closed circuit television, signing in visitors to a building, sorting post and checking suspicious packages, performing checks on building traffic (the people going in and out of a building), recording any suspicious activity and taking any necessary action, guarding valuables or cash, writing reports for the police or courts, conducting general reception duties, creating and distributing building access cards.
