Directing and managing all financial functions that relate to governmental reimbursement and provide financial reimbursement services required by all internal and external customers. Advise and Educate executive leadership on regulatory reimbursement issues.

Oversight and responsibility for filing five hospital and home office cost reports ensures that filings comply with all Federal and State regulations. Responsible for writing and implementing hospital policies related to filing Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. Update system leadership team about changes to Medicare reimbursement and presenting finding during quarterly CFO meetings and annual Leadership meetings. Interpret and report, as applicable, changes to each state with regards to DSH, UPL, Waiver programs. Model and report impact of proposed/final rules as it relates to changes in payment methodologies of federal and state agencies. Acts as liaison to External Financial Auditors for all hospitals as it relates to Medicare/Medicaid/Champus current and prior year reserves. Works in conjunction with Finance Department as it relates to calculations for Net Patient Revenue. Analyze financial impact on change to Charge Master price increases
