Helicopter Maritime Strike Wing Atlantic develops employment concepts and technical requirements for seven Maritime Strike Helicopter squadrons and the Navy's Future Vertical Lift platform. Principal responsibility as Director of Fleet Experimentation is to promote relationships with resource sponsors, industry, and academia to rapidly prototype, demonstrate, and operationalize advanced technical capabilities. - Developed partnerships with the Chief of Naval Operations staff, NAVAIR, the National Security Agency, and the National Reconnaissance Office to showcase Maritime Strike Helicopter capabilities in joint technology demonstrations Stormforce 19, Naval Tactical Grid-19, and Red Nitrum. These events featured the use of multi-intelligence sensor correlation/fusion engines and an ad-hoc mesh network to transport sensor data across domains and US Code Title 10/Title 50 boundaries.- Conceived and led Spartan Storm 20, a local experimentation venue, designed to advance National-Tactical integration for the MH-60R aircraft. The event was selected as part of the Navy’s first contribution to the JADC2 experimentation series. - Prepared briefings for the Director of Naval Intelligence and the Aircraft Carrier Naval Aviation Requirements Group.- Top Staff Officer.

HSM-72 deploys Maritime Strike Helicopters on aircraft carriers and US Atlantic Fleet surface combatants. Principal responsibilities included the professional development of 200 personnel and management of 12 MH-60R aircraft and support equipment assets, valued at over $520M. - Prepared the squadron for the Commander, Naval Air Forces Aviation Maintenance Inspection, achieving exceptional results - the department was assessed in the top 9% of all aviation squadrons for effective and efficient maintenance programs. Surpassed fleet average aircraft material condition metrics by 25% and aircraft operational availability standards by 10% while safely executing over 2,500 flight hours. - Efforts directly resulted in the Command receiving the 2016 and 2018 Commander, Naval Air Forces Aviation Battle Efficiency Awards (best Maritime Strike Helicopter squadron in the Atlantic Fleet) as well as the 2018 Golden Wrench Award (the top Maritime Strike Helicopter squadron Maintenance Department in the Atlantic Fleet).

HX-21 conducts developmental flight test and evaluation of rotary-wing and tilt-rotor aircraft and their associated airborne systems. Principal responsibilities included test planning, execution, and reporting for MH-60R/S developmental flight test projects.- Spearheaded coordination with a diverse group of stakeholders, including NAVAIR, Naval Research Laboratory, and operational end users, to rapidly develop and deploy a one-of-a-kind weapon system in response to an emergent strategic threat. Directed the high risk flight test program, valued at over $40M, across multiple test sites. Completed comprehensive system development and deployed a unique warfighting capability on schedule, meeting theater strategic requirements in only four months - 20 months earlier than the nominal delivery schedule for an urgent Chief of Naval Operations requirement. - Made critical contributions supporting the first MH-60R employment of a radar-guided HELLFIRE missile variant. Liaised extensively with Lockheed Martin, the Navy Multi-Mission Helicopter and Army Missile and Space Program Offices, and the Atlantic Test Range to mitigate overall risk and ensure a safe and effective demonstration.- Confidently led coordination with the Virginia Class Submarine Program Office and the Johns Hopkins University APL Attack Submarine Survivability Program in support of remote site MH-60R mission system performance tests involving a limited availability submarine test asset. Collaborated with technical experts from Telephonics Corporation and Johns Hopkins University APL to design data collection flight profiles. Carefully organized logistics and security for multiple expeditionary assignments; each comprised of over 45 DoD and contract personnel and over 2,000 lbs of classified hardware. Efforts ensured HX-21 remained responsive to dynamic program schedules.- Team recipient of the NAVAIR Commander's Award for Program Excellence.

HSL-48 deployed expeditionary Anti-Submarine/Anti-Surface Warfare helicopters on US Atlantic Fleet surface combatants. Principal responsibilities included the material condition of two SH-60B aircraft and the leadership and development of 20 technicians.- Maintenance Division Manager and Aircraft Commander during independent Maritime Security Cooperation deployment to Europe and West Africa. Supervised the management of a $10M supply inventory in support of two SH-60B aircraft. Creatively solved regional supply chain challenges to ensure 100% operational availability for multi-national exercises Caya Green and Phoenix Express. Led a division of 20 technicians to the Command’s highest maintenance program inspection results in three years.- A trusted and sought after mentor. Guided six junior aviators to successful Aircraft Commander qualification well ahead of prescribed calendar milestones. Structures Team Lead in the iterative engineering design of MidSTAR – 1, a general purpose satellite bus capable of supporting a variety of space experiments. The program was sponsored by the DoD Space Test Program, and was launched on March 9, 2007 aboard an Atlas V expendable launch vehicle from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.- Drafted the vibration analysis test plans to ensure compliance with Delta IV and Atlas V expendable launch vehicle acceleration limitations. The spacecraft was designed to launch using one of four stations on an Expendable Secondary Payload Adaptor (ESPA) ring. Worked extensively with various ESPA partner design cohorts – including NASA, United Launch Alliance, the DoD Space Test Program, and the United States Air Force Academy Small Satellite Program – to mitigate foreign object risk and ensure a safe ascent. Participation in such a risk intensive and complex design project was a challenging and extremely gratifying opportunity in light of the ultimate mission success.
