Throughout the different stages of my 30+ year career, two things have always been true. I love what I do, and I take great pride in helping others produce successful and coordinated projects. One of my passions is teaching designers, project managers, and even clients how to use AEC software tools more efficiently which produces more accurate, easy to read, and well-coordinated documents in less time. The amazing companies I have worked for over the years have exposed me to different ways to produce construction documents. The varied and incredible projects I have helped others execute has helped me to look at the big picture while focusing on the very important details. I always strive to be mindful of how decisions made during design impacts others on the team, both immediately and down the road. I have seen how a good set of coordinated and accurate documents can help the pricing process, reduce construction time and reduces RFI's. Less RFI's frees up designers to work on other projects. The goal of this approach is to produce a great product and win more projects!In my travels I have also sold enterprise solutions to the AEC market all over the southeast of the country. Many owners and users have talked to me about their struggles, successes, and various workflows. I have been fortunate to be able to help so many companies increase productivity by implementing cost effective hardware and software solutions.I try to stay up to date on the latest technologies while constantly keeping ahead of the curve by developing unique workflows that help teams execute projects quickly and accurately.Some current tools I help users with are Revit, Navisworks, Recap, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Infraworks, Lumion, MicroStation, and several others. From planning projects and executing coordination meetings that are a joy rather than a pain, to promoting and using 3D laser scanning to help the design team execute renovations with pinpoint accuracy. Helping design teams use these tools efficiently is just one of the aspects of my job that I love.
