Glad to be back at EDT! I very much enjoy working on Design Build projects with the US Army Corps of Engineers and being responsible for coordinating all disciplines (not just MEP). My experience with Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP helps me be very effective and I look forward to increasing my BIM knowledge of post design/construction and how it relates to the entire life cycle of projects.I very much love what I do. I take pride in creating workflows to help my company create coordinated, easy to read, accurate construction documents. I am thankful every day to have the opportunity of being a mentor to the engineers with regard to BIM and CAD, teaching better workflows and creative ways to improve efficiency, reducing construction time/errors in the field, and implementing new technologies. Helping the teams with coordination and exceeding owner expectations is my passion!

Hired to improve their BIM process and the quality of their construction documents.I focused on increasing efficiency in their Atlanta and DC offices. New Revit Templates were created and designers started designing in working views and documenting in printing views. We started using view templates and project collaboration on Autodesk 360. Navisworks was implemented on all projects (where a structural model was available) at the 75% DD phase. By the time I left (about 18months later) all 20+ engineers were designing with a 3D view open and were using Navisworks Freedom for coordination and collision detection. We were able to implement smart schedules via a central shared parameter file with standard backcheck schedules in place on all new jobs, and a company BIM Execution Plan (BExP) was created and used for any complex or large projects. The smart schedules alone increased the efficiency of our Electrical department by 30% over their old workflow (the same workflow still being used by the home office of using excel to autocad to Revit for manually coordinated schedules). I will miss all the top notch engineers and complex projects that we worked on.What matters to me is that the engineers, project managers and department heads all agree that the improvements we made during my tenure made a huge positive impact on their day to day tasks and to the quality of the projects going out the door.

Originally hired at Heery to do Architctural 2D work using Microstation and Project Architect. I mostly worked with the Architectural department but also utilized my experience helping the MEP and civil departments. I grew into 3D CAD renderings and animations. My renderings for the Wolfson Children Hospital attracted national attention through the golden mouse awards.
