Worked as part of a team of engineers designing and developing products to be used predominately in a subsea environment. Designed products to conform to various Oil & Gas industry standards and regulations in order to provide clients with safe, highly-engineered solutions. Specialised in products manufactured from non-corrosive materials including super duplex, titanium and polymers. Worked closely with project managers in a high pressure environment, working on numerous projects simultaneously using organisational and time management skills to effectively and efficiently complete each job to its critical deadline.Some product examples include:• Buoyancy Modules – Riser/Umbilical distributed buoyancy modules used to provide a defined amount of lift to specified sections of a Riser/Umbilical.• Uraduct® - For impact protection and/or ballast to a Riser/Umbilical. Using various design techniques including 3D Structural and 3D Thermal Finite Element Analysis. • Various subsea Clamping systems – such as ‘Piggyback clamps’ – ROV installable syntactic foam clamps.• Thermal Insulation – Various subsea systems, for example, thermal insulation cover assemblies to fit over spool to spool connections, complete with Cathodic Protection. Again, using various 2D and 3D Thermal Finite Element packages.to complete designs.• Bend Protection Systems – Bending Stiffener (using Orcabend FEA) and Bend Restrictor design. Other tasks included:• Writing, revising and reviewing official technical documentation including design reports, installation guides and FAT procedures. • Checking manufacturing drawings and material specifications. • Overseeing client witness Factory Acceptance Testing • Using various databases and company specific systems.

Worked as part of the Projects & Design team at Satake Europe to provide solutions to clients within the flour milling industry. Created technical, detailed and general arrangement drawings of plants, equipment and special bespoke fabrications with extensive use of AutoCAD 2D. Was involved with all aspects of project management and planning and worked to ensure that the optimum solution for the client was achieved, with careful consideration always given to design factors such as cost and time. During my time with the company I built up good relationships with clients and potential clients and worked effectively within the team environment. Some typical duties included: Designing elements of the milling process such as: -o Pneumatic lifting systems – compressors, blowers, cyclones. o Dust filters and exhaust systems. o Conveying and materials handling equipment.o Valves and actuators Other tasks included:• Client project feasibility visits. • Design and drafting all aspects of plant equipment including: bespoke milling machinery, sheet metal fabrications, pipework, ducting and building structures. • Carrying out site surveys to create comprehensive proposals/end-designs. • Design and development of existing machinery and modifications. • Equipment commissioning and troubleshooting. • Creating and revising mill process schematics and flow diagrams. • Liaising with fabricators, manufacturers and sub-contractors. • Supervising on-site installations. • Working to regulations including DSEAR and ATEXFurther learning included participating in the NABIM (National Association of British and Irish Millers) correspondence course. Completed 5 modules and received two distinctions and three credits. One of the distinctions was awarded for Health and Safety
