Sole Director, founder and owner of New Leaf Business Services. Providing:• Provision of broad-scale advice to families with sophisticated issues and complex structures• Relationship management of key stakeholders incidental to the provision of high quality professional advice• Technical lead in relation to all tax and accounting matters for small to medium enterprise• Provision of highly detailed and customised financial reporting, budgeting and forecast solutions for clients• Oversight of self-managed superannuation compliance and incidental estate planning requirements• Provision of due diligence services incidental to acquisitions and divestments of private business interests

• Responsible for the day to day management of client relationships, work standards, work schedules, staff supervision, development and productivity• Management of client relationships for a portfolio of wealthy client’s, their families, related corporate and investment entities.• Working with complete autonomy undertaking complex work assignments.• Development of the Practice’s professional procedures, policies and documents.

• Manage the provision of a broad range of wealth management services to a portfolio of 10-15 ultra-high net worth client groups; • Acting as the client’s ‘trusted’ adviser and being responsible for the client engagement;• Creative and proactive generation of planning ideas for each client;• Preparation and analysis of financial information for compliance and ad-hoc tasks;• Manage a team of 4 including mentoring, developing and on-job training of team members;• Working with to a broad scope of entities including companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and self managed superannuation funds;• Being responsible for the client fee arrangement, billing and collection on a timely basis;• Management of compliance details and deadlines our clients including oversight of lodgement activity, co-ordination of updated engagement letters, and preparation of client budgets.

• Presented group results at monthly performance review meetings to an executive management committee;• Provision of management reports to key stakeholders, including comprehensive analysis of those reports;• Preparation and analysis of annual budgets, quarterly revisions to budget submissions (forecasts) and reporting results to the board;• Oversight of the preparation of accurate and timely annual and half-yearly financial statements in full compliance with accounting standards;• Maintenance of key relationships with key stakeholders including direct communication with shareholders from two major Japanese listed energy companies;• Analysis of business processes to identify and improve business standards and controls;• Monitoring of cash flow requirements for businesses and ensure compliance with internal policy and banking covenants;• Oversight and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger for three large investment companies through the APA Groups asset management division, including development and review of detailed tax & treasury models;• Applied use of software - Finance One, Oracle R12, Hyperion Financial Reporting.

• Senior technical advisor for AIFRS statutory compliant reporting; • Experience with consolidated statutory compliant financial reporting;• Extensive experience and understanding of Microsoft excel including developing internal excel-based systems to automate financial reporting for large and small entities;• Reviewing annual financial statements and tax returns for small and medium entities including companies, discretionary and unit trusts, superannuation funds and partnerships;• Preparing detailed engagement plans for staff based on client meetings including budgets, timelines for completion and ongoing monitoring of progress throughout the course of each engagement;• Developing weekly agenda for group meeting - reviewing weekly/monthly productivity and recoverability reports, reviewing detailed billing and write-off performance for individual staff and overseeing performance for discussion with managers/partners (11 staff);• Correspondence with clients regarding technical tax advice and accounting problems including correspondence with the Office of State Revenue, ASIC and the Australian Taxation Office regarding account management (fine and penalty remission and time extensions for large clients);• Assisted partner in preparing cash flow forecasts, advise regarding structuring, succession & estate planning and wealth creation;• Preparation of financial reports for Self Managed Superfunds including review of investment strategy and asset allocation, advise regarding compliance with the SIS Act and analysis of fund performance;• Specific assignments undertaken for clients including:o Assistance in real estate acquisitions;o Advice with regard to structuring new and growing business operations or projects from a taxation, reporting and legal basis;o Assistance with possible financing for new business operations and/or asset acquisitions;o Review of internal controls and advice to eliminate their weaknesses.
