Hired by eBay’s CEO, Meg Whitman as President of Butterfields, their newly acquired auction house. With 3 sale locations and 230 employees, I integrated a traditional “Bricks and Mortar” auction business into the eBay sales platform, creating one of the first scalable Fine Art and Collectable digital sale platforms, “ Great Collections”, to sell thousands of verified and expert authenticated works of art.

During my 9 years at Christie’s I held a number of specialist and management positions. Joining as a general valuer/ appraiser from the UK, I worked with the Trusts & Estates department and the 19th Century European paintings department, as a specialist. In 1995 I became Deputy Managing Director at Christie’s East and President Christie’s East in 1996. In 1997 I moved to the new Christie’s location at Rockefeller Center as Senior Vice President for the Decorative Arts Depts.
