• Co-designed and created Puppet v6 architecture using a combination of Ruby, Python, and Bash scripts for standardized deployments in our test, pre-prod, and production AWS regions. Developed custom puppet facts and custom internal puppet modules that supported 950+ remote appliances across 8 AWS regions.• Co-designed AWS and Kubernetes architecture to support TLS syslog over the internet. This solution included 2 pipelines: 1) Log Routing via custom TCP port and 2) Automated Log Routing via custom UUID using regex and lookup tables in rsyslog. Both solutions wrote directly to our backend Kafka infrastructure and used multiple components: AWS [NLBs, Listeners, Target Groups], NGINX Ingress Controllers, rsyslog and a variety of Docker containers orchestrated by Kubernetes and multiple Python scripts.• Designed and developed python stat collection scripts for our 950+ remote appliances, which also included Grafana dashboards and panels for this custom data.• Re-designed our Jira project using new workflows, issue types, screens, and Kanban board layout along with 20+ automation rules.• Designed and developed a GitLab CI/CD pipeline to automate Puppet module deployments into different stages of our release pipeline that cut time to deploy from 30 minutes to 3 minutes.• Designed and developed several Python Log Transport Agents, including Docker containers orchestrated by Kubernetes, based on either an HTTP streamed data source API or standard REST API. • Designed and developed a method to update an NGINX configmap every week based on Microsoft Azure’s dynamic whitelist utilizing Kubernetes cron, Docker container, and Python script.• Created API in one of our web-based applications using Ruby on Rails that allowed another system to interact and automate several key pieces when commissioning a new appliance.
