I've been machining/ programming CNC machines for the last 14 years. I started off as a operator just pushing go and measuring parts to make sure they met customer specs. As I progressed I was giving an opportunity to program using mastercam X7 and I truly enjoyed the complete process from customer prints to dimensionally sound parts that met or exceeded customer requirements. Trained in 5s lean manufacturing (6 sigma green belt) I'm currently employed at the pnsy and a work lead in the nuclear propulsion division of inside machining, this job has been greatly rewarding knowing that our direct quality of work can keep those serving our country safe as well as ensure that the civilian population has assurance that somewhere beneath the ocean those brave young men and woman are out there protecting us. Specialties : setup conventional lathes, 5s, 6 sigma green belt, lean manufacturing, team building, cad, mastercam x7, team leading skills, supervisor training, shaft refurbishment, large lathe setups.
