My current client is with Vanguard as a Service Reliability Engineer. My primary role is Production Support where I maintain Java Web Services for the Reporting and Analytics side of the Enterprise Advice business line. I am responsible for troubleshooting and reporting production issues using Splunk and Confluence with Jira and Kanban.My previous client was with Macy's as an Android Developer. The project I was selected to be on was cut short by COVID-19. I was potentially responsible for migrating of particular legacy components in the Macy’s Shopping Application in Android to a new code base. The code is written in Kotlin/Java and uses Android Architecture components such as Dagger, RxJava, other custom libraries, and third party libraries. I was to work in an agile environment using Jira with other Android and IOS Developers.

Currently I maintain the client-facing web applications for the Department and the division by resolving ticket requests that consist of change requests and bug fixes. The applications are developed in ASP.NET MVC 5, razor, bootstrap, html, and javascript/jquery. The applications also interface with SQLServer and ADO.NET.

My position as Web Developer involved enhancing, maintaining, and developing the company's Reporting Services website. The existing Reporting Services website was built ASP.NET MVC 4 with technologies such as JQuery DataTables, and SQLClient implementation to call stored procedures. My decision to enhance the site started with a model-first approach in design. The existing schema I worked with did not have relationships with the tables, so I worked on finding the most logical way to connect the tables given the columns I worked with. Initially, the model was created by Entity Framework Designer. With Visual Studio tools I generated a schema from the model and use it to create Code-First implementation of the model. With the Code-First classes I can write linq statements to query the model, in which can return data through a Rest API. The Rest Web Service was written with Web API. To implement the Web Service, all I had to do was instantiate the correct API Controller, eliminating the need to use HTTPClient to call by using the URL. For the front-end design of the Reporting Web Site, I decided to use Bootstrap CSS and JavaScript classes for responsive design, using bootstrap widgets where possible like bootstrap Datepicker.
