Transact Foreign Exchange 'deals' for RBS/Natwest retail and corporate clients.Buying/Selling 'forex' market rate currencies for Same Day, Spot and Forward value.Deals in conjunction with the Business Lending Units; Forward currency exchange contracts / Options. London based team and services all UK clients.

Working within a global brand of RBS Wealth Management, Coutts provides a bespoke banking service to affluent clients, with offices located throughout the world. My role encompassed the management of back office operational teams based in London.Lead and motivate two teams totalling 25 staff, managing performance and talentwithin monthly 1:1's and appraisals. Represent Coutts at the RBS Group Cash & Cheque Clearing forum.Manage and deliver reconciliation of internal suspense accounts, commercial and private money market fixtures and cheque clearance (including unpaids in/out).Acted as liason for the bank's largest commercial client with regard to their money market deposits. Monthly meetings conducted to ensure satisfaction.Daily reconciliation of a very large corporate banking institutions' settlement account. With funds being sent or received by CHAPS to cover their position.Attend Coutts Banking Operations Risk board meetings.Monthly and quarterly sign off of all suspense accounts for audit reporting purposes.Quarterly production of the teams overall risk certificate for the centre manager. Ensure the team is compliant to in-house and external risk measures and controls.Using the SME's experience identify and minimise risk, implementing service quality action plans as required to confirm the controls are effective.Drive accuracy through quality checking of all staff work completed.Daily management of workloads, with adherence to SLA's by using planning and forecasting tools. Initiate service improvements and cost efficiencies from within the teams, without compromising client service or risk. Carry out root-cause analysis, following any complaint which could lead to reputational/financial loss. All complaints handled within FSA guidelines.Ensure delivery and oversee specific coaching for staff using Bank approved processes. Provide support for the Business Controls manager and deputise during their absence.

Complete credit proposals/reviews with senior management for Head Office approval.Place private and commercial client funds on Money Market Deposit.Custody of sterling and overseas stock and shares.Complete all Foreign Transactions; Telegraphic Transfers, Drafts, Cheque Negotiations and Collections.
