Writing is my passion. Which is probably why I've done every kind of writing there is to do. TV writing? Check. Scriptwriting? Check. Speechwriting, AVP writing, news/magazine feature writing? Check, check, and check. I've written scripts for national corporate events, for invites to a one year old's birthday party, even for friends who can't write a love letter to save their lives. My latest venture into the vast realm of writing happens to be copywriting, which I've been doing for the past 17 years. In those years, I've learned how to write a 30 second story, how to cut that story down to 15 seconds without losing the point it was trying to make , and I even learned how to get to the point in just 5seconds. Unlike most of my advertising colleagues, I hesitate to claim that my biggest strength is big idea thinking (ideating, it's called nowadays). What I can and do claim though is the ability to take an idea or message and express it in whatever form is needed, whether as a poem, an essay, a speech, a feature piece in a magazine, a play, a radio ad or a 30second TV spot.Because I'm a writer. Not a copywriter. Or a scriptwriter. Or a magazine writer. A writer.
