About Patrick Miller
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:I am a responsible, reliable, motivated and driven individual with 15 years experience as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician. I started work in Cape Town docks monitoring refrigerated containers and continued to study part time in the evenings; succeeding in becoming a qualified Technician within 4 years. I moved into air conditioning as a Senior Technician to broaden my trade experience with the intention of taking my skills overseas.In 2011 I took a break and gained my TESOL certificate. I then did some volunteer teaching at Cape Town School of English teaching Congolese students English and then spent 7 months traveling and teaching in Thailand before going back to work in the air conditioning field. I then made a permanent move to Australia in 2014. Since moving to Australia, I have worked in two major companies, one being Jako Industries where I worked for 3 years managing Hollywood Private Hospital and a number of other high profile commercial sites.I am a healthy, energetic individual with a love for the outdoors and new adventures and cultures. These, together with my wish to progress my skills and career are motivators for relocating to Australia which I consider to be a permanent move.I have not yet realized my full potential and will always work hard to rise to challenges and achieve results. I believe in being entirely ethical in business and towards other people.CAREER OUTLOOK:I would like to work in an environment where I can continue to grow, expand my knowledge and build on my technical and team leadership skills. I am keen to work and study towards some form of management status or qualification. I am willing to do whatever training and studying is necessary for me to achieve my goals and be a valuable contributor to my employer.
