• Manages five (5) professional staff and two (2) mechanisms as Branch Chief of Data Evaluation and Quality (DEQ) by providing technical advice and assistance in monitoring, managing, and evaluating cooperative agreements in an amount over $5 million to US Government (USG), host country governments, and others• Analyzes existing or proposed systems, strategies, services and other international health related matters for long-range implementation and administration of the international public health program• DEQ serves as Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Points of Contact (POC) for six President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) countries and serve on three Department of State Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator (S/GAC) Technical Working Groups (TWGs)• Collaborates with the Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) Branch to formulate national program and project goals, objectives, operating policies, strategic program plans, guidelines, standards, and priorities• Provides technical advice and assistance in preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and monitoring collaborative agreements, contracts, awards, and/or memorandum of agreements• DEQ provides data support to the Resilient and Responsive Health Organizations (RRHO) Sustainability Communities of Practice Initiative (RRHO) and the Resilient and the Responsive Health Systems (RRHS) Initiative by collaborating on M&E plan development and reporting

• Provided programmatic and technical guidance with our electronic health record system called SmartCare, Zambia’s Electronic Medical Record System (EMRS) during an assessment of the system that looked at the analysis of system operations and information flow• Supported the establishment of a National Public Health Institute (NHPI), formulating this new program with initiatives that are in accord with CDC public health program goals, objectives and policies including capacity building around the elimination of HIV/AIDS• Support training around data management from the facility up to the national level in Zambia• Involved in Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) and Strategic Information through data use• Sustain and strengthen existing partnerships internally and externally to CDC• Managed four (4) Cooperative Agreements (COAGs) as Project Officer, looking at Implementing Partner (IP) budgets, presenting and defending resource requirements needed to fulfill the long-term goals and objectives of President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

Managed contracts/grants/cooperative agreement application, award, administration, and/or closeout activities for 19 hepatitisprograms. Cooperative agreement awards are for 5 years, subject to the availability of funds. Awards range from $25,000 to$150,000.Supported Program Collaboration and Service Integration (PCSI), to strengthen collaborations and integrate services provided by related programs, prevention activities related to HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, other sexually transmitted diseases, and tuberculosis and presented viral hepatitis programmatic mission and objectives at the National HIV Prevention Grantee Meeting.Collaborated nationally to improve sexual health of those at greatest risk for disease in a comprehensive holistic service (including risk reduction messages, mental health, substance abuse prevention and treatment, and reproductive health services) and collaborated with multi-disciplinary project teams.Provided consultation on solutions which require knowledge of the discipline’s epidemiology, biostatistics, infectious diseases, public health prevention, health services research, STD, HIV/AIDS, immunization, and public health and provided technical guidance to State, and local health departments, national organizations.Sustained and strengthened existing partnerships internally and externally to CDC and designed, oversaw, and implemented hepatitis research and evaluation studies and developed, disseminated, and communicated hepatitis research results to State, local, and community-based organizations.Coordinated weekly consultations with over 40 federally funded grantees to ensure that CDC recipient activities are being carried out in a timely manner and answered healthcare professional and public inquiries regarding hepatitis A/B/C/D/E; specifically, vaccine therapies, lab testing, and infection control.

Designed, oversaw, and implemented anomaly research related to the Biosense Program by conducting real-time bio-surveillance.Provided programmatic and technical leadership to partners (Veterans Administration, Department of Defense) and hospitals all over the United States that send real-time data to CDC.Monitored Biosense data and reported findings to Biosense partners when certain flags occurred.Provided consultation and advice on solutions to problems related Biosense using my knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, infectious disease, public health, health services research, and health trends.Developed, disseminated, and communicated Biosense results to local and state partners.Collaborated with multi-disciplinary project teams consisting of analyst, physicians, health scientist, and support personnel.Volunteered as a “change agent” within NCPHI during reorganization, collaborating within divisions to be a sounding board between staff and management.
