In this role, I continued to specialize in camera electronics, but also worked on system clocks qualifications. I also assisted in characterizing platform level electronics such as vibrator testing, software reset/shutdown testing, infrared sensor testing, thermistor testing for thermal mitigation qualifications, etc. I also had a co-op student, with whom I worked with on a daily basis. I have a lot more to write here, but I'm bored. I'm going to do some programming, and come back to this later =)

Duties ranged from running image quality tests on blackberry device cameras for the sake of qualification, to running full electronic qualifications (over temperature) on camera power lines, serial communication lines (I2C/MIPI), clock lines, and I/O lines. In my time as a camera lab technician, I was responsible for the electronic qualification testing on the cameras in five different blackberry devices at the product level. In some cases, I was responsible for aspects of the electronic qualification of camera modules at the platform level As time progressed, I was doing less and less image quality testing, and more electronic qualification testing. I worked with high powered oscilloscopes, power supplies, precision DMMs, thermal chambers, etc. In some cases, I was also required to run stress testing scripts in Python.

This was an electronics technician role. Daily duties surrounded the troubleshooting of BlackBerry devices that failed during assembly testing. Schematic diagrams, placement diagrams, and test data were used to determine where the problem was. Anywhere from fifty to three hundred devices would be looked at during a twelve hour shift. All fixes were to be logged in the database. Proper ESD practices were vital.
