- Managed a team of 5 engineers responsible for all manufacturing, process, safety, facilities, and maintenance activities at the Bedford, MA fiber optics and laser production site. - Responsible for the following manufacturing processes: laser lens alignment, laser welding with micron accuracy, metrology programming, die mounting reflow soldering in inert environment, ribbon wire bonding, solder ball bonding, laser power & PER measurement, package/component lid sealing in various inert and controlled environments via resistance welding, component fine and gross leak testing, multi mode and single mode fiber splicing, fiber cleaving, connectorization, and fiber end face polishing. - Made improvements to systems and practices to meet ISO Class 7 level clean room manufacturing environment for optics. - Provided significant input on several Gate 6 Qualification Eval Report (QER) and ran several Gate 7 Production Readiness Review (PRR) presentations that assessed product flow plans, ability to meet and validate quality requirements, labor capacity, training requirements, machine capacity, progress/equipment Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and gauge R&R assessments, and work instruction status in order to meet technical requirements and schedule for all new products. - Managed integration of new products, processes, and equipment from a from a consolidated G&H site in Baltimore. - Participated in 2023 CapEx (including ROI analysis) and 2023 manufacturing engineering budget planning. - Interviewed candidates for and hired a new facilities and equipment maintenance technician that became a part of my team. - Interviewed candidates for and hired a summer engineering intern to help with identified projects and needs.

Continued my role as the Lead Engineer for the Patriot Electronic Assembly (EA) Work Center under Integrated Defense Systems at IADC as of 2012. Leading a team of 21 engineers across 2 shifts and 3 value streams.Implemented a new automated temperature log system across all IDS production areas. It eliminated 130 manual paper logs and created real time email notifications when limits are exceeded. The new system saved over $300K annually.

Leading a team of 21 engineers across 2 shifts and 3 value streams.Lead a multi-disciplined team in the development and implementation of new standardized marking procedure and process engineering guideline which has reduced marking faults by more than 74%.Prepared and presented technical papers on the Marking Standardization Project at both the Mechanical, Materials & Structures Technical Network (MMSTN) and the Manufacturing Technology Network (MTN) Symposiums in 2012.Oversaw the development and implementation of $500K lean, single-piece-flow assembly line of high mix, low vollume rack assemblies that will reduce WIP and build cycles as well as eliminate 75% of the high ergonomic risk lifts.Worked as the Lead Manufacturing Engineer in the Rack Cell in EA during a period in which the cell had grown by more than 300% in size and scope of assemblies.Created and implemented a completely new ANSI/J-STD-001 training and certification course that used actual examples of the work we perform.
