I spent the first 5 years of service in the infantry with 3rd Battalion 8th Marine Regiment, I left there a squad leader in October of 2004. From there I went to Weapons Training Battalion, Stone Bay where I was a marksmanship instructor for a little over two years. From there I went to the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit where I served as the Battalion Police Sergeant where i did maintenance and property management. I reached the end of my contract and honorably separated from the Corps in September of 2008.
