OVERVIEW:• Patrick is currently the Manager, Cost Recovery Policy and Coordination of Health Canada’s Regulatory Operations and Enforcement Branch (ROEB) where he leads and coordinates branch processes related to cost recovery-related activities. • Patrick has held increasingly senior positions at Health Canada with a focus on accountability, strategic and operational planning, strategic policy and federal-provincial relations. • Patrick is a past chair of the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) - Manitoba Chapter and has served on a number of provincial health sector conference planning committees over the years. EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:• Experience formulating and providing briefings, advice and recommendations to senior Canadian government departmental officials and supporting senior management teams in decentralized and regional environments• Significant experience in managing teams and supporting management in decentralized and virtual environments• Significant experience conducting research, synthesis of complex information, analysis, and the development of policies related to health and health care issues • Significant experience leading the development and the implementation of strategic and operating planning processes, performance frameworks and results-based management frameworks.• Significant experience in writing a range of documentation such as policy papers, strategic and operational plans, environmental scans, performance measurement frameworks, briefing materials and presentations• Experience leading and participating in working groups and committees at the Canadian federal government departmental, interdepartmental and intergovernmental level• Experience building and maintaining partnerships within Canadian federal government departments, with other levels of government and with stakeholders
