Lead Electrical Engineer delivering web-converting machinery to a variety of fields. Responsible for HMI, PLC, and Electrical Schematic design focused on delivering proven solutions for our customer's toughest problems.

I spent the beginning of my summer working in the production side of the company learning wiring specifications and industry code. This time was also spent learning about the company's standards for electrical drawings and how important clear communication between an engineer and technincian is. I finished off the summer with Delta working on standardizing controls and HMI programs in order to streamline the electrical design time for a commonly produced product. This work involved reading and diagnosing key elements and functions within ladder-logic while spotting redundancies and cleaning up unused variables that were left from previous renditions of the product. This work also gave me the opportunity to work through variable communication and their translations through different formatted files and verify an HMI system correctly triggering responses within corresponding PLC connected logic program.

I spent the summer working under a Senior Quality Technician and the Head Quality Engineer as an intern and quality technician. I worked closely with our suppliers, communicating daily to receive replacement parts for defective products and helped oversee the creation of control documents and processes. Another large part of my responsibilities was diagnosing incoming parts to make sure they meet our specifications and running chemical paint and functionality tests to ensure our inhouse processes stayed up to differing OEM requirements.

Summer job for five years. Life guarded for the first two summers, then was promoted to captain and oversaw 14-16 guards for the next two summers. I was given a manager role my last summer and handled daily jobs that included: opening/closing the park, checking and balancing chemicals, pump house maintenance/control, lifeguard and captain oversight, and patron relations.
