Hired on as a Business Continuity Engineer managing all aspects of the Facilities, Data Center, DR Environment and testing as well as all infrastructure related to the IDF’s/MDF’s in all US Offices. Promoted after 3 months to Manager of Corporate Services in the US where I was given the additional responsibilities of running the Desktop, Mobility, Change and End-User Computing groups. In this role I was given supervisory duties for all of the teams, along with budgeting, training, developing strategic direction and taking over all of the current projects that were underway, including managing the projects for Windows 7 upgrades, APC Upgrades, Replacing Tivoli with PRTG, Desktop patching/vulnerability management, and IDF/MDF Security Audit Reconciliation. Managed multiple projects that allowed me to build from the ground-up and head different centers and groups, including Network Operations Center, Governance & Compliance, Lifecycle, and Capacity Management groups. Implemented processes, policies, and frameworks from concept during these projects. Managed 35 employees in ITIL, Governance, NOC, Lifecycle and Capacity management groups. Part of these projects was to train all new employees for productivity enhancement, costs reduction, and industry regulations adherence. Responsible for providing technical details to monitoring team on proper monitoring and alerting of systems. Introduced, purchased, led project efforts, and implemented Splunk, SolarWinds, and SCOM so monitoring team and the NOC could manage the environment. This effort ended up reducing the SME’s time in the Network, Server and DBA groups by over 40% by having the NOC remediate smaller issues and allowed the SME’s to focus on major efforts and projects.• Built strong teams through interviewing, hiring, and training team members, resulting in achieving 99.99% uptime and improving business operations.• Improved quality of services through designing and deploying new hire training plan for all new employees on ITIL practices and policies.• Modified and updated infrastructure and applications to fulfill client SLA’s and business requirements through various operational projects.• In the first 6 months after the NOC engagement project, saved $18 million by reducing/eliminating outages and uptime went up to 99.97% from an average of 95% for 15k servers, 10k DBs and over 2k network infrastructure devices along with 20 petabytes of storage and over 33,000 users.• Developed Health Check program to evaluate and update applications and infrastructure to ensure they were built correctly and had the proper resiliency to support client SLAs.
