After 20 years at Checkmate Fire Solutions Ltd I decided to hang up my boots and take a career break. Having helped the company grow to one of the biggest passive fire protection providers in the country it occurred to me to be a good time to leave and concentrate on spending quality time the other most important thing in my life.. my wife and family. Joined the company to help bring expertise and growth to the fledgling fire stopping division the company had just started. By focusing on quality, reliability and customer service we achieved annual turnover in excess of £1m in my period. Before leaving to take up my next role I succeeded in developing a functional team of managers and installers to give the company the platform to grow into a significant operator in the construction market today.
