My leadership responsibilities include deputising for the Headteacher (in 2023 I stepped up as Acting Head for an interim period of two months), Designated Safeguarding Lead, German lead, phase leadership/ line management, behaviour, assessment and recruitment. I am also involved in developing community links and partnerships, I have been a Trustee for the Friends of JKPS (www.fojkps.org) and I manage the school's social media strategy. In July 2018, we had our first SATS results, performing well above average in reading and maths, and leading the borough for progress in reading (see link). The school continues to perform well above average and is the primary school of choice in the borough. I have been on the Advisory Board for Native Scientists (https://www.nativescientists.org) since 2019, and a Board Member for the Bilingual Education Alliance (https://www.beaschools.com) since its foundation in 2021.Since joining Judith Kerr Primary, I have continued working with the Kings College London outreach team, establishing opportunities for children to visit leading science laboratories and setting up school visits with the scientists. In 2018, this included setting up an Art In Science Exhibition, where children took part in an Agar Art project, learning about bacteria. Show less
