CurrentIn 1995, BLS English - was founded in the beautiful market town of Bury St Edmunds near Cambridge. From one adult student almost twenty years ago, we have to date welcomed over 10 000 international students studying English as a foreign language. BLS operates from its own premises - an Adult Centre in an historic grade II Georgian building in the vibrant part of the town close to the shopping malls, theatres, cinema complexes and amenities. The year round Junior Residential centre which has 12 bedrooms is in a large Victorian villa 5 minutes walk away in a leafy road with gardens. There is a separate cottage available for residential adult students on a self-catering basis. BLS English has been accredited by the British Council since 2006 and the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) since 2012. BLS English has "Exceeded Expectations" across all areas in every annual ISI inspection. At BLS we aim to teach with passion and to challenge and encourage students to achieve their very best. In 2015 BLS English celebrates its 20th anniversary.
