As a Business Economics student at Saddleback College, I am passionate about government and economics, and eager to learn from real-world experience. That is why I applied for and completed a three-month internship at the U.S. House of Representatives, where I supported the legislative staff with research, correspondence, and administrative tasks. I gained valuable insights into the workings of Congress, the issues and challenges facing our nation, and the skills and competencies required for effective public service. I also developed my communication, teamwork, and analytical skills, as well as my knowledge of the political system and the legislative process. My internship has reinforced my interest in business and economics and has motivated me to continue my education and hone my skills in this field.
