Author, Screenwriter, Short Filmmaker (Written, Directed & Produced). I've already written two books and I am working on a third. My current objectives include turning more of my feature screenplays and screen stories into crime fiction novels. I also hope to sell some of my existing screenplays and have them produced. I also hope to produce and direct more short films based on some of my award winning short scripts. My ultimate intention is to write professionally for TV and Film. My main areas of interest are crime thrillers, film noir, political and psychological thrillers and black comedies. I also hope to continue mentoring and lecturing in screenwriting and film. I hope to soon roll out a series of workshops based on my short films screenwriting book.

Production ManagerSeagate Technology 1994 - 2009I was a production manager in charge of various manufacturing production units in the plant throughout my 15 years there including Photolithography Dept, Vacuum Deposition Dept, Plating, Test, New Photo and New Vacuum. This involved managing day to day operations and teams of production operators. I also worked with the R&D Dept, Production Yield Team, Training Dept and was involved with Six Sigma project teams on cost reduction and production efficiency projects. I was the Incident Team Leader and Safety Rep for my shift and was awarded the Seagate 'Presidents Award for Excellence' in 2006 for my work as Incident Team leader. I also worked with the plant's Environmental Health & Safety Dept. I sometimes had responsibility for an entire shift (4 shifts in plant) of 300 plus operators and technicians when covering for the shift managers. Basically a wide range of complex tasks in an intense High technology environment. The company manufactures hard disc drives for the world's computer industry and the American owned company is one of world's largest disc drive manufacturers. The plant in Springtown, Derry where I worked was a billion dollar state of the art hi-tech plant with 1,400 employees. It specifically manufactured read write heads for the hard drives and data storage devices used by the worldwide computer industry. This was in a NASA like 'state of the art' clean room facility using nano-technology. 20% of the world's read write heads were manufactured in this one plant. I enventually left because I wanted to follow my writing ambitions.
