CurrentProgram Manager directing acoustic tag and hydroacoustic evaluations of fish entrainment, distribution, and behavior in a wide range of environments in North America and Europe. Included are over 50 major studies at hydropower dams, including long-term studies related to FERC relicensing. Riverine experience includes hydroacoustic evaluations of migratory fish in North America, South America, and Europe. Also conducts mobile surveys of fish populations in lakes and marine environments in North America and Asia using multi-beam target tracking and echo integration. Duties include project management, study design, data analysis, statistical analysis, and report writing. He has authored over 80 publications and technical reports on fisheries acoustics; and has taught short courses on acoustic tags and hydroacoustics for fisheries assessments for the past 20 years.
