Starting in late October I founded a company called Handshake and selected 3 other members of my class to join me. I selected Justin Tinker, Kati Vombergar, and Ryan Leizman to join the team. We worked for the next three and a half weeks validating the problem we identified. We saw that Professionals struggled with scheduling meetings and wanted to help them out with this problem. We worked hard researching and interviewing. We got over 90 in-person interviews and 90 survey responses. We finally got everything together at the end of the three weeks that included research, go to market plan, cost and revenue figures, and a functional MVP. We now are looking to see what the next steps are for Handshake and the rest of the company.

As a team we were given the task by the founders of WISR, an alumni connections website/service, to figure out how to fix the engagement problem that they were facing. The founders of the company were not concerned with getting into colleges they wanted us to focus our three weeks of research on finding out how to bring new students in, get them to engage on the website, and then get them to stay on the website more than one time. We spent our time conducting interviews and figuring out technical fixes for the website to make the transition from account creation to alumni connection smoother.

Our team was tasked with helping the owner of Ento Bio with a go to market plan. Ento Bio is an organic product for removal of woody weeds and tree stump. We spent a little under three weeks research the market and coming up with ideas on what product Ento Bio should focus on and how he should go about bringing this unique product into the market.

I was contracted by Launch Bars a bar company in the beginning stages of its business. I was brought in to help bring the business to the market. I helped bring the packaging up to par compared to the rest of the bar market. Marybeth Stucker is the founder of the company and was the woman whom we worked directly with. We gave her our thoughts at the end of the 3 weeks.
